International nomination for The Hunt for The Last Nazis

The Hunt For The Last Nazis has been shortlisted for an Association for International Broadcasting (AIB) award.

The feature-length documentary, which premiered on SBS on May 31, investigates how Australia let thousands of Nazis into the country after WWII, and the last-ditch attempt by the Special Investigations Unit to bring them to justice. It won the Cannes World Film Festival Award for Best Documentary in May.

For the AIBs, it has been selected in the Best Domestic Affairs Documentary, and is up against six other films, including from the BBC and Arte. The winner will be announced at a gala in London on November 20. 

Founded in 2005, the AIBs recognise outstanding journalism and factual production across video, audio and digital platforms. This year’s shortlist includes work from more than 70 companies in 22 countries.
